Kits come with the wool, the crochet hook, pattern and colour chart. 
The yarn is Stylecraft Special DK,  and Cabaret Ocean, which is perfect for blankets.  The blanket is crocheted on a 4mm crochet hook and the pattern is suitable for  crocheters with some experience. 

The stitches used include chain, slip stitch, double crochet, half treble and treble crochet.
